Web Hosting
Cascade Web Content Management (WCM)
The "WCM" hosts the majority of online content in the CSUS ecosystem. Once initial training is completed, all approved members of the campus community can earn access to curate and publish content in their area of expertise.
Faculty Web Pages
University faculty are provided with web hosting services for their personal web page. In addition, we also offer training and consulting services on how to best design their page and meet accessibility requirements.
Personal Web Pages
All campus community members are provided with their personal URL, where they can host web content using the campus web server. Community members are allowed up to 500 MB of web hosting storage and can manage their content through an FTP client.
URL Management
Web & Mobile Services helps the university manage and configure all things related to URLs. This includes:
- Assigning URLs to websites.
- Redirecting from one URL to another.
- Changing a URL (such as when a department changes their name, etc.)
- Creating custom URLs for marketing purposes that are friendly and easier to remember (such as how the much more user-friendly https://csus.edu/irt sends visitors to https://www.csus.edu/information-resources-technology/).
All campus URLs should follow the Campus Web Address Guidelines.
