Kevin Nagle is a nationally known businessman and philanthropist who has made major contributions to the community, most notably through the region’s sports teams, the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Republic FC.

Nagle is chairman and CEO of Sac Soccer Entertainment Holdings, which owns Sacramento Republic FC and is helping lead efforts to bring Major League Soccer to Sacramento. As the region’s largest local owner of the National Basketball Association’s Sacramento Kings, Nagle has twice played an instrumental role in keeping the team in Sacramento.

Nagle considers Sacramento his “adopted” hometown and has a deep commitment to the growth of the Capital Region. He shares his expertise by serving on the board of numerous local organizations including as an Advisory Board member of Sacramento State’s Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

In recognition of his commitment and impact, Nagle was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in 2020 from the University and the CSU Board of Trustees.

“I am honored to be awarded the honorary degree from Sac State and consider it an incredible privilege,” said Nagle. “President Nelsen and his leadership team have made substantial steps in guiding Sac State as a game-changing university in our region. I am proud to be associated with them.”

His recent awards in 2019 include Humanitarian of the Year by the United Cerebral Palsy Association, Sacramentan of the Year by the Sacramento Metro Chamber, and Distinguished Service Award by Greater Sacramento Economic Council.

As owner and president of the Nagle Company Inc., Nagle is engaged in real estate development, venture capital, and private equity. He co-founded Envision Pharmaceutical Holdings, the nation’s fifth-largest prescription benefit management company, before it was acquired by Rite Aid Corp. in 2015.

Nagle has an associate degree from Long Beach City College, a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Speech Communication from Cal State Long Beach, and a master’s degree in Business and Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
