The Sacramento State Men’s Basketball team’s fight to secure a place among college basketball elite under the leadership of Head Coach Mike Bibby and General Manager Shaquille O’Neal will be featured in a new documentary series premiering May 1 on The Roku Channel.
“Fear Nothing: Sac State” by Overtime and Omaha Productions will spotlight Hornets guard Mikey Williams, as the once top-ranked recruit struggles to rebuild his career as well as examine Bibby’s evolution from NBA star to collegiate coach.
“Sacramento has always had heart, and Sac State basketball represents the grit and that chip on the shoulder,” Bibby said. “Giving these young men a platform to show their work ethic, their brotherhood, and what it means to wear green and gold — that’s powerful.
“I’m proud to see the Hornets get this kind of spotlight.”
The six-episode docuseries goes behind the scenes from the locker room to campus life as well as practices and late-night strategy sessions to offer a look at the unique partnership between Bibby and O’Neal, once fierce NBA rivals.
