Fall Convocation 2025

Convocation serves as newly enrolled students' induction into the University. This free event is designed to celebrate this momentous step in each student's academic journey. It introduces newly enrolled students and their support systems to Sacramento State's institutional values and serves as an official welcome to the Hornet Family. The ceremony will take place on August 21 at 3 p.m. in the University Union Ballroom. Additional ceremonies will be added if the first reaches capacity.

Hornet Nest Fest

August 22, 2025

Currently enrolled students and their guests are invited to attend Hornet Nest Fest, an annual event taking place on August 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Acorn Amphitheater (Main Quad). Tickets are required for food, so be sure to register by August 15!

Let’s Glow Party!

November 7, 2025

Come dance the night away at Let’s Glow Party! The event will take place on November 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the University Union Ballroom. Enjoy free food, a live DJ, glow-in-the-dark mocktails and food, and free swag! This is your chance to light up the night, make memories, and have a blast with your Hornet family. Show up and shine!

Carnival in the Quad

April 10, 2026

Step right up for the ultimate carnival experience at Carnival in the Quad, taking place on April 10 at 5 p.m. at the Acorn Amphitheater (Main Quad). This free event features entertainment, a live DJ, fair food favorites like nachos and drumsticks, face painting, carnival games, and chances to win prizes all evening long!
