Summer Transitional Programs

EOP offers several transitional programs during the summer for students. Please review the information for each of the transitional programs.

Summer Bridge
The EOP Summer Bridge Academy is a free six-week program designed for incoming First-year EOP students. The primary goal of Summer Bridge is to assist incoming students in making a smooth transition from high school to college life. The program serves historically underserved students who come from first-generation and low-income backgrounds.
Transfer Bridge
Transfer Bridge is a free six-week program designed for incoming transfer students. The primary goal of Transfer Bridge is to assist incoming students in making a smooth transition from the community college to Sacramento State.
Junior Bridge
The Junior Bridge Program is a free six-week summer experience designed to support your academic success and connect you with community, campus resources, and fellow EOP students. This year, we will be offering an upper-division asynchronous course designed to earn college credits, learn in a diverse multicultural atmosphere, and gain exposure to vital community, civic engagement opportunities, and professional growth options.
Program Dates: June 22, 2026 – July 30, 2026
Course: ETHN 199 (1-unit, asynchronous)
A special topics course focused on civic engagement, community connection, and building relationships with peers and campus partners.
This course is designed to provide a meaningful and flexible experience while supporting your transition and continued success at Sacramento State.
