About Parents and Families

Program Dedication

Housed within the Women’s Resource Center, the Parents & Families Program at Sacramento State is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community by engaging parents, caregivers, and families as essential partners in student success. Through resources, advocacy, and intentional programming, the program strengthens family connections to the university while promoting the holistic well-being and academic achievement of Hornet students.

About the Program

The Parents & Families Program, a proud initiative of the Women’s Resource Center, recognizes that family support plays a vital role in student success. We provide student parents, caregivers, and families with information, tools, and engagement opportunities that keep them connected to their student’s journey. From resource navigation and community-building events, the program enhances the Hornet Family experience while advancing the WRC’s mission of empowerment, equity, and student-centered care. Together, we cultivate a network of support that uplifts both students and their families.
