About the Program
Vision Statement
The Parents & Families Program (P&F) aspires to be Sacramento State's premier hub for parenting student success and family engagement, transforming support services into a scholar-centered experience that empowers parenting students to lead, achieve, and graduate. Through innovative programs, childcare access, family partnerships, and community connection, the program seeks to foster a campus culture where parenting students and their families are celebrated, supported, and positioned to thrive.
Mission Statement
The P&F serves as an extended family for parenting and pregnant students at Sacramento State by fostering a welcoming, family-inclusive community where students and their families are supported, connected, and empowered to succeed. Through holistic support, innovative programming, resource navigation, family engagement, and collaborative campus and community partnerships, we advance student success, cultivate belonging, and celebrate the strengths, resilience, and diverse experiences of parenting students throughout their educational journey.
