Admissions Criteria
The following represent minimum academic qualifications and admission criteria. As the College of Business Administration receives a large number of applications each cycle, it reserves the right to admit fewer applicants than those who meet the minimum criteria.
Title V of the California Educational Code requires that MBA candidates must have earned a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA and an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
Unless a valid waiver is presented, applicants who conducted their undergraduate studies in another country must also submit English Language Proficiency exam scores that meet the following minimum criteria.

MBA Foundation Courses
The MBA curriculum consists of 33-44 semester units depending on your academic background and professional experience.
The MBA "foundation courses" provide an academic background in basic business concepts, which the MBA curriculum will build upon.
While they do not affect your admissibility and they are not required to be completed prior to admission to the program, they do take priority over the MBA core and elective classes. Thus, they must be completed before you start the regular MBA coursework and with a cumulative foundation course GPA of 3.0. Foundation course waivers are available and are determined either at the time of admission, or upon a request for waiver by the student after application.
