ECS Tutoring Services

NOTE: ECS Virtual Tutoring services ended on November 19th. (For support with your courses, please attend faculty office hours for the remainder of the semester.)

All ECS tutors have earned upper division status in ECS with demonstrated academic achievement. Tutors are prepared to assist you in the coursework for all ECS majors, and they are anxious to help you reach your academic goals.

How To Join Online Tutoring With Zoom

A new user-friendly, Zoom based, tutoring system will be available from September 13th - November 19th by ECS Tutoring Services. For free tutoring, follow the following steps:

  1. Follow the provided meeting link in the table above for an available tutor
  2. Accept or allow any requests to open that may appear
  3. If prompted to enter your name, do so and click "Join"
  4. If prompted, select "Join With Computer Audio", or an appropriate option for your system
  5. Post your question to enter a queue (first come first serve basis)

How To Join ECS Tutoring With Discord

As an option, you can also access ECS tutors through discord during their scheduled times. Discord offers additional capabilities, particularly for computer science majors. To create a discord account, begin with step 1 below. If you already have a discord account, log in at and skip to step 4.

Steps for creating a Discord account

  1. Navigate to
  2. Enter your email, desired username and password
  3. You will be prompted to create a server. Click "Skip".

Steps for joining the ECS Tutor Center server

  1. Click the large green "+" icon on the left hand side of the screen
  2. Select "Join a Server"
  3. Paste in the following link: and click Join
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to get help
