Family & Consumer Sciences
The Family & Consumer Sciences Department provides knowledge and skills that will enhance the well-being and quality of life of individuals, families, and communities. We strive to foster healthy relationships between people and their diverse environments while focusing on the integration of physical, biological, cultural, economic, and social influences on human behavior, lifespan development, and health.
Our department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in four individual majors: Family & Consumer Science Pre-Credential Single Subject Program (FACS Ed), Family Studies and Human Development (FSHD), Fashion Merchandising & Management (FASH), and Nutrition, Food & Dietetics (NUFD).
