EOP Student Agreements
First-Year Students
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to support students’ educational goals from the point they begin applying to our program through students’ graduation. Our program provides the necessary services for admitted students including admissions application and transitional support, Summer Bridge Academy, retention, academic & financial aid advice to help students succeed and graduate.
Please review the program requirements below:
General Program Requirements & Advising:
- To be eligible for the EOP Grant, I must agree to enroll in a minimum of 12 units or more per semester until my graduation (please click on the link to read more about the grant)
- Note: The Financial Aid Office will determine eligibility and award the EOP Grant
- I agree to meet with an EOP Counselor/ISA Advisor as required until my graduation.
- If my major is Expressed Interest/undeclare, I will meet with an EOP advisor until declaring a major.
- If my GPA falls below 2.0, my academic status will change to “Good Standing” I will be required to meet with an EOP advisor
- If I am “Academically Disqualified” from the University, I agree to meet the terms of my reinstatement contract in consultation with an EOP advisor.
- If I need tutoring assistance, I will visit the Peer Academic Resource Center (PARC) or my major department.
- I agree to attend all the retention services offered by the EOP department that will promote my academic success at Sacramento State.
Summer 2026 - Program Requirements:
- As an admitted scholar, I agree with the general program requirements above.
- I agree to attend the mandatory (online) – EOP Summer Bridge Academy Program scheduled from Monday, June 22 to Friday, July 31 (Monday to Thursday 9am to 12pm).
- I agree that I must attend all Zoom sessions for my Summer Bridge Academy online courses.
- I agree to attend my mandatory university New Student Orientation Session. EOP students will be required to attend their university orientation on Tuesday, July 7. During the orientation, students will have access register for the fall semester and make schedule adjustments.
- During the Summer Bridge Academy, it is recommended that I meet with an EOP Summer Bridge peer-advisor to review my Fall 2026 Hornet Launch course schedule.
- During Summer Bridge Academy, I agree to attend mandatory workshops and events as instructed by my Summer Bridge Academy faculty or EOP advisor.
Transfer Students

General Program Requirements
- To be eligible for the EOP Grant, I must agree to enroll in a minimum of 12 units or more per semester until my graduation (please click on the link to read more about the grant) .
- Note: The Financial Aid Office will determine eligibility and award the EOP Grant.
- I agree to meet with an EOP Advisor/Faculty Major Advisor as required until my graduation.
- If my GPA falls between 2.0 - 2.3, a “Registration Hold” will be placed on MySacState-Student Center.
- If my GPA falls below a 2.0, my academic status will change to” Academic Probation,” and I will be required to meet with an EOP advisor.
- If I am Academically Disqualified from the University, I agree to meet the terms of my reinstatement contract in consultation with an EOP counselor.
- If I need tutoring assistance, I will visit the Peer Academic Resource Center (PARC) or my major department.
- I agree to attend all retention services offered by the EOP department that will promote my academic success at Sacramento State.
Summer 2026 Program Requirements:
- I agree to attend my mandatory University- New Student Orientation Session in early June. Orientation dates/sessions will be based on students’ major. During the Orientation, students will be able to register for their fall courses and meet with their faculty major advisors.
