About First Year Orientation

Welcome New Hornet!

Congratulations on being admitted to Sac State!

Welcome to college. We are excited to help you with your journey. New Student Orientation is required for all new students and is designed to help you get off to the right start.

During Orientation, you'll meet other new students, attend academic advising sessions and learn about ways to get involved. You will also learn about Sac State programs and services that will support you. Finally, we’ll go over your fall class schedule and help you if you need to adjust your classes. Your parents and supporters are also invited to attend.

For more information on Services to Students with Disabilities, see their website for their application process and services.

Students who are in need of childcare (ages 6 mos.-kindergarten) during Orientation may arrange for free child care from the ASI Children's Center.
