First Year Summer Orientation at Sac State
First-Year Students: Important Step Before Registering
New Requirement:
Before registering for Orientation, you MUST complete the MANDATORY Live on Campus housing application. Once you receive a confirmation that you appliction has been submitted you can go on your MYSACSTATE student Portal and register or you can give us a call the following morning after 8:30 a.m. If you have any problems the NSO Team is here to help!
At New Student Orientation, you will discover the insider secrets to navigating academic life, explore awesome support programs and dive into our vibrate community. You will meet with academic advisors, look at your class schedule, explore campus resources, connect with fellow Hornets, Learn about student life, events, and traditions.
But that’s not all! Our fantastic Student Orientation Leader will keep you in the loop about all the must-see events on campus. From epic club fairs and lively concerts to cheering on our football team, their’ s always something fun waiting for you as you Arrive to the Hive,

Child Care
Students who are in need of childcare (ages 6 mos.-kindergarten) during Orientation may arrange for free child care from the ASI Children's Center. This is based on space availability and requests for care should be made at least seven working days in advance. For arrangements call the ASI Children's Center at (916) 278-6216.
Disability Access Center
We strongly recommend for best-ensured service, that requests for sign language interpreters, real-time captioners, printed or audio materials in alternative formats, or other ADA accommodations be made at least 10 working days in advance of your Orientation by contacting the Disability Access Center at dac@csus.edu or (916) 278-6955 voice.
