Catalog Description:
1. To assess the meaning of the family in contemporary American society wherein the structure and the processes in the family have taken drastic changes from the traditional idealized image of the family. 2. To provide a thorough and objective coverage of the basic concepts and ideas in the areas of marriages, families and intimate relationships. The coverage includes factual data as well as abstract principles and empirically supported findings. 3. To provide a foundation for students to examine personal and familial values and behaviors in relation to differing life-styles and patterns, both within and without their own society. 4. To aid students in gaining and/or improving competence in electronic communication and data gathering. This includes:
