Fall 2024: EOP Admissions Eligibility

Transfer Students Eligibility

• Be an Upper Division Transfer student with 60 or more units and have a qualifying GPA
• Be a California Resident or meet AB-540 eligibility
• Be a First-Generation college applicant (parents and or guardians have not earned a 4-Year College Degree in the USA)
• Have the following General Education Areas completed with a grade of C- or better;
  • A1- Oral Communications
  • A2- Written Communications
  • A3- Critical Thinking
  • B4- Quantitative Reasoning (Mathematics above Intermediate Algebra)
• Apply for Admissions to Sacramento State (Transfer Students)
• Respond to the EOP Biographical Questions on the EOP Tile on the Cal-State Application
• Request two electronic Letters of Recommendation through the Cal-State Application
• Submit a FAFSA and/or a CADAA Application to our campus
• Meet the Student Aid Index amount for EOP

First-Time Freshmen Eligibility

• Be a graduating high school senior
• Be a California Resident or meet AB-540 eligibility
• Be a First-Generation college applicant (parents and or guardians have not earned a 4-Year College Degree in the USA)
• *Earn a grade of C or higher in the “A-G” subjects and have a qualifying 2.5 GPA or higher
• Apply for Admissions to Sacramento State (First-Year Students)
• Respond to the EOP Biographical Questions on the EOP Tile on the Cal-State Application
• Request two electronic Letters of Recommendation
• Submit a FAFSA and or a CADAA Application to our campus
• Meet the Student Aid Index amount for EOP

Fall 2024 EOP Application Extension & Incomplete Submissions

APPLICATION SUBMISSION EXTENSION:

In compliance with the Sacramento State Admissions Office the EOP application deadline has been extended for new incoming Fall 2024 Transfer students. Eligible transfer applicants may apply via the Cal State Online Application by selecting “Yes” to interest in EOP and completing the EOP quadrant information by March 15, 2024. Eligible EOP Transfer students must meet the admissions requirements and the important deadlines (steps one through six above) to qualify for our program.

New students’ EOP application and their electronic EOP Letters of Recommendation from TWO recommenders must be submitted via the Cal State Online Application by March 15, 2024 to be considered for EOP Admission.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA and/or Dream Act Application must be submitted by April 2, 2024.

EOP INCOMPLETE APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS:

Applicants who submitted incomplete EOP applications prior to December 15, 2023 can still be considered for EOP Admission by completing the steps below by March 15, 2024.

Incomplete Applications include:

• Short biographical responses
• Missing letters of recommendation
• Did not select “Yes” to being interested in EOP on their already submitted Cal-State application (Did not fill out EOP quadrant)

To complete the EOP Biographical Questions, answer the application questions via the EOP Fall 2024 Updated Application Questions form.

To complete the two EOP Letters of Recommendation, applicants must request both recommenders to fill out the EOP Fall 2024 Letter of Recommendation PDF (Late Submission). Once both recommendations have been completed, applicants must send both completed letters of recommendation directly to eoptransferadmissions@csus.edu by March 15, 2024 to be considered for EOP Admission.

Note: Recommenders can be any counselor, instructor, supervisor, mentor, or such individual who can speak about your academic potential, character, goals, etc.
