Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Steering Committee The ATI Steering Committee serves as a governance group and principal adviser to campus regarding accessible technology issues and guidelines for compliance. Alcohol Advisory Council Utilizing the guiding principles and recommendations contained in the Alcohol Policies and Prevention Programs Committee Report issued by the Chancellor's Office as the foundation for its work, the Alcohol Advisory Council shall recommend policy and examine the following six areas as they pertain to alcohol and other drugs: Policies, Enforcement and Legal Issues, Education and Prevention Programs, Training, Intervention and Treatment, Assessment, Resources. Antiracism and Inclusive Campus Planning Group As Sacramento State embarks on building an antiracism and inclusive campus plan, campus leadership has drafted a framework for developing and assessing our progress to becoming an antiracism and inclusive campus. Aquatic Center Advisory Committee The California State University, Sacramento (hereafter referred to as Sacramento State) Aquatic Center Advisory Committee oversees the goals and general direction of the Aquatic Center, providing direction and review of the Associated Students' management of the Aquatic Center. Aquatic Center Partnership Forum Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Forum will review the operations of the Center to ensure that the visions and needs of the various Partners are considered and addressed. Associated Students, Inc. Appellate Council The Appellate Council shall have the original jurisdiction to hear and rule on all appeals. Associated Students, Inc. Audit Committee 1. Shall recommend to the Board of Directors the retention and termination of the independent auditor. 2. May negotiate the compensation of the auditor on behalf of the Board. 3. Shall confer with the auditor to satisfy the committee members that the financial affairs of the organization are in order 4. Associated Students, Inc. Board of Directors As the elected student government of Sacramento State, the ASI Board of Directors includes five Executive Officers, a representative from each College, a representative for Undeclared Students, and a representative for Graduate Students. Bookstore Advisory Council, UEI, Inc. A prime objective for the Bookstore Advisory Council is to solicit information and experiences from administrators, faculty, staff, and students for discussion at council meetings and then to report the resulting resolutions in a timely manner. It is recommended that the council meet on a regular basis, preferably twice a semester, to review concerns of both the institution and the bookstore. Here are some topics the council may wish to address:
  • Improving communications between the bookstore and the entire campus community.
  • Educating the faculty on our used book program and the importance of receiving course adoption information on a timely basis.
  • Promoting the benefits the bookstore provides to faculty, students, alumni, and fans through an Annual Program Review presentation.
  • Monitoring the on-time availability of textbooks for all classes.
  • Recommending service policies that are customer friendly.
  • Serving as a sounding board for new products (supplies, gifts, software, trade books, etc.) to help support campus life.

Campus Educational Equity Committee The Campus Educational Equity Committee (CEEC) is a University Committee that reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs and is overseen by the Associate Vice President of Student Retention and Academic Success. The committee works to review and provide oversight leadership of educational equity initiatives and programs to assure the successful work of closing equity and opportunity gaps among students from high need and underserved communities. Campus Health Services Oversight Committee The Campus Health Services Oversight Committee provides oversight of all activities associated with the implementation and ongoing oversight of EO 943, as well as adherence to related regulations not covered in the executive order. Further, the Committee shall be responsible for the periodic review and revision of the Campus Health Oversight Policy to accurately reflect the reporting structures, responsibilities, and compliance. Campus Planning Council The University - not any group, division, college, department or individual - is the owner of its physical campus grounds and buildings. In order to ensure that all university space is subject to the assignment and reassignment for the common good of the University, the CPC will review policies and proposals affecting the University's physical environment and make recommendations to the President. Campus Safety & Environmental Health Committee Campus Safety and Environmental Health Committee is charged with the task of developing and recommending to the President policy changes and other actions related to public and occupational safety and environmental quality within the campus community. Specific responsibilities of the committee include, but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing related issues raised by campus and/or community members, and making appropriate recommendations for action, through policy and program development;
  • Reviewing the status of, providing guidance for, and assisting in the development of disaster preparation programs, continuity planning, disaster recovery and related training;
  • Reviewing regulatory mandates related to public safety, environmental compliance, risk management and occupational safety, and making appropriate recommendations for action and/or developing related policies and programs;
  • Making recommendations to promote greater sensitivity to the needs of our diverse population with regard to safety and environmental issues.

Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution Advisory Board The purpose of the CAPCR Advisory Board is to guarantee input and support of professionals, community members, public and private organizations in carrying out the mission and objectives of CAPCR. The Board provides guidance for the CAPCR's programs/projects and development, as well as make recommendations for improvement. Center for California Studies Campus Advisory Board The Campus Advisory Board for the Center for California Studies has as its purpose working with the Director, and others who are involved in the activities of the Center and the development of these activities, relating the Center to its many publics in state government and elsewhere, and advising the president and others on the campus about the activities of the Center. The actions of the Campus Advisory Board are in the form of recommendations to the President. University Committee

Civil Engineering Program Industrial Advisory Committee The Department of Civil Engineering is advised by the Civil Engineering Industrial Advisory Committee (CEPIAC). Comprised of distinguished industry leaders, the committee meets a couple times each semester and assists the Civil Engineering program in a variety of activities. The committee provides valuable feedback to help the Department address and anticipate changes in demand within the civil engineering industry. The committee helps with assessment by providing advice on short- and long-range strategic planning and outreach. The committee also helps to plan and prepare annual industry-sponsored events like Evening with Industry and Alumni Week activities. College of Business Advisory Council The Business Advisory Council (BAC) provides input and assistance to the College of Business (COB) as it seeks to fulfill its mission, including issues related to resource development, external relations, and strategic planning. The BAC is comprised of alumni, community leaders, corporate partners, and other friends of the University. CSU Council on Ocean Affairs, Science, and Technology (COAST) The COAST governance structure calls for Faculty and Administrative Representatives from each campus and marine consortia. These Campus Representatives form the official decision-making body for COAST. CSU Foundation Board of Directors Led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of prominent professionals and business leaders, the University Foundation is the University's primary philanthropic auxiliary and is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Dale and Katy Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board Provides leadership and oversight of the Dale and Katy Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, whose mission is to serve as a regional hub and platform for providing approachable and accessible entrepreneurial education, community, and support to enable startup founders of all backgrounds to explore and launch their businesses. https://www.csus.edu/center/carlsen/governance-advisory-board.html University Committee
Diversity Awards Committee The committee's charge is to develop implementation guidelines, review and recommend participants or proposals, make recommendations for changes when necessary, and evaluate the program's effectiveness. Each fall the committee meets to review applications for the Probationary Faculty Development awards. Diversity Council - Being Restructured The purpose of the California State University, Sacramento Diversity Council is to model inclusive behaviors and to provide advice, recommendations, and participatory support on matters related to equity, diversity, and inclusion to the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence (�IE�). To accomplish this purpose, the objectives of the Council are to:
  • Discuss and consider opportunities to increase equity and diversity.
  • Identify obstacles to achieving the goal of being an inclusive campus.
  • Provide recommendations that will aid Sacramento State in becoming a more inclusive campus.
  • Participate in implementation of proactive strategies and approaches.
  • Identify metrics for evaluation and accountability of Sacramento State's progress towards its equity, diversity, and inclusion goals.

Elections Committee (Senate) The Elections Committee makes recommendations to the Faculty Senate in regards to the conduct of the elections and the interpretation of election procedures and results. It further develops efficient election control, and certify the results. Exceptional Assigned Time Committee The Exceptional Assigned Time Committee, is a subcommittee of the Faculty Policies Committee. Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarship Committee The Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships Committee, a subcommittee of the Academic Policies Committee (APC), reviews applications for, and selects the recipients of the Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships Awards. General Education Course Review Subcommittee The General Education Course Review Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the General Education Policies/Graduation Requirements Committee (GE/GRPC), is responsible for reviewing and recommending courses for inclusion in the General Education Program. Grade Appeals Panel Grade Appeal Panels review and render decisions on grade appeals submitted by students each semester in which they are disputing a previous semester's course grade. https://www.csus.edu/academic-affairs/senate/non-senate-university-committees/ Faculty Senate Committee

Graduate Council The Graduate Council shall serve the Graduate Dean in an advisory, though not policy-making, capacity on matters regarding the recommendation and implementation of principles, policies, and procedures affecting graduate and post-baccalaureate education at California State University, Sacramento. Green and Gold Planning Committee The Green and Gold Speaker Series committee is responsible for the selection, booking, promotion and coordination of speakers for the Sacramento State's Green and Gold Speaker Series. The Green and Gold Speaker Series features scholars, artists, writers, and thought leaders whose work resonates with a number of communities across the campus and who offer valuable and unique contributions to our University's programming and intellectual landscape. The series is an intentional manifestation of our institution's values and takes its name from the University's colors because selected speakers advance the sentiments expressed in our campus Statement of Diversity and Inclusion, and our shared commitment to "work collaboratively upon principles of cultural humility and respect for all to create an atmosphere in which a sense of belonging within our community can flourish." The Green and Gold Planning Committee includes faculty, students, and representation from Student Affairs. The committee meets once a month for roughly 90 minutes, with between 1-2 hours of independent or subcommittee work completed between committee meetings. This is an ongoing committee, functioning for as long as the speaker series is active. Apart from the Chair, committee members will rotate off of the Committee annually, with the potential for repeat appointments. Honorary Degree Committee The Committee reviews recommendations of persons nominated to receive an honorary degree and assists in the development and compilation of materials in support of nominations to be forwarded to the President. https://www.csus.edu/president/honorary-degrees/ University Committee
Information Technology Advisory Board As the primary governing body for campus technology, the IT Advisory Board provides special consultation to the Information Resources & Technology (IRT) Vice President and Chief Information Officer to help prioritize divisional IT projects based on alignment with campus strategic goals and other needs. https://www.csus.edu/information-resources-technology/internal/it-advisory-board.html University Committee
Information Technology Collaboration & Standards Group The Sacramento State IT Collaboration & Standards Group is comprised of appointed technology professionals from across campus. The charter of this group is to improve collaboration and focus campus support efforts to continuously review and update campus desktop, system, and classroom technology standards. Instructionally Related Activities Committee (IRA) The Committee acts as the advising body to the President for the Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) student fee allocation. Student Fee Advisory Committee The Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) is managed by the Vice President for Administration or their designee to review Category II and III fee proposals. Student Housing Advisory Committee The Committee develops a comprehensive student housing proposal and process for each student housing project, including reports and materials, which will facilitate the movement of projects through the campus and Chancellor's Office approval process. Student-Athlete Special Action Review Committee The SASA Committee's purpose is to review, on a case-by-case basis at the request of the Athletic Admissions & Initial Eligibility Coordinator, prospective student-athlete applicants to California State University, Sacramento who do not meet University admission standards and/or NCAA eligibility requirements. University Appointment, Retention, Tenure and Promotion Committee (UARTP The UARTP Committee serves as a committee of the Faculty Senate. University Union WELL Inc. Audit Committee The Audit Committee recommends to the BOD of Union WELL Inc. the retention and termination of the independent auditor. It confers with the auditor to assure the financial affairs of Union WELL Inc. are in order, determines whether recommend acceptance of the audit to the Union WELL Inc. BOD, and assures that any non-audit services performed by the auditing firm. This committee helps meet the goals of transparency called for in the federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act. University Union WELL Inc. Board of Directors Executive Committee The Executive Committee consists of the officers of the Board of Directors. They shall review all agendas in advance of distribution. They also have the ability to act on behalf of the BOD in a matter of immediate concern, particularly during the summer.
